Attractions of God, Total Solar Eclipse 2016
Tomorrow, a natural phenomenon that is eagerly awaited by the world community will occured in Indonesia. Indonesia will be the only country traversed by Total Solar Eclipse 2016. The longest Total Solar Eclipse will occur in the Northern Papua New Guinea, which is 04 minutes 09 seconds. This rare natural phenomenon, is expected to occur again on April, 20th 2023.
Total Solar Eclipse 2016 is attracting tourists to visit Indonesia. Tourists from Japan, China, Australia, and many other countries come to witness this phenomenon. According to Deputy Chairman Sightseeing Association of Hotels and Restaurants Indonesian, Johnnie Sugiarto, most tourists are from Japan. Around 3,000 foreign tourists from Japan come to Indonesia, just to see the total solar eclipse.
Other than, Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi also plans to build a Total Solar Eclipse Monument in North Pakuli Village, District Gumbasa, Sigi. The monument is erected as a sign of a rare phenomenon in the region of Central Sulawesi. According to Dewi Cahaya Abdullah, Head of Culture and Tourism in Sigi, the construction of this monument has been coordinated from last year and expected to be completed before March, 09th 2016.
