Baluran National Park: Java’s African Savannah

What to Know
The national park is situated in Situbondo Regency in East Java. It’s advisable that you visit it between April and November, which is the dry season in Indonesia. Otherwise, you will have to do extra preparations because you will be stuck in the rain.
Getting into the park isn’t free. Depending on the day and nationality, the fee is quite affordable. Keep in mind that transportation is quite limited. To reach the area, you can go to Banyuwangi first. From the train station or the airport, you can then rent a taxi or a car to reach the park.
